General information regarding recommended fuel quality for Vauni products
Vauni's fireplaces are powered by liquid denatured ethanol (etyl alcohol), which is sold under various trade names at petrol stations building merchandise stores, food shops and on the Internet.
Do not use:
- Ethanol fuel in gelatinous form
- Ethanol fuel intended for cars (E85 or the like)
- Kerosene or lamp oil

Quick facts denatured ethanol
- Denatured
ethanol = pure ethanol (alcohol) with additives to prevent consumption by
mistake.
- Usually 80-95% ethanol content
- Usually
with a light colour. Clear ethanol exists in certain countries
- Produced
from renewable raw materials such as cellulose, corn or potatoes. Other raw
materials may be used.
